Dry pastel on cardboard

Swimming in oil,

breathing oil,

trapped in oil.

But we can make a change.

Vanishing brings you to a halt. The bright blue against a black sea darkened with oil and sorrow. My original plan was to fill the emptiness with concrete pieces of our burden, trash and plastic, but then changed my mind. Some friends made me understand how nothingness speaks for itself. It’s like a metaphor for the illness we’ve spread, and the struggle the sea faces.
